The Service is a digital companion tool for the DaggerHeart TTRPG system, providing character creation, campaign management, and live gaming session features.
2. Description of Service
HeartfeltDagger provides the following features:
- Interactive character creation and management for DaggerHeart TTRPG
- Campaign creation and management tools
- Live gaming rooms with video conferencing capabilities
- Video recording functionality with direct upload to user-owned cloud storage
- Speech-to-text transcription services
- Character sharing and collaboration features
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintaining the security of your password and account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accepting responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our sole discretion.
4. Third-Party Storage Integration
The Service integrates with third-party cloud storage providers (including Google Drive and Wasabi) to allow you to store your video recordings directly in your own storage accounts. By using these features:
- You authorize the Service to access your connected storage accounts for the purpose of uploading recordings
- You remain the sole owner of all content uploaded to your storage accounts
- You are responsible for managing your storage account settings, permissions, and costs
- We do not store copies of your recordings on our servers beyond temporary processing
- You must comply with the terms of service of your chosen storage provider
5. Video Recording and Consent
When participating in rooms with recording capabilities:
- You must provide explicit consent before any recording begins
- You may withdraw consent and leave the room at any time
- Room creators are responsible for informing all participants about recording
- Recordings are uploaded directly to the room creator's designated storage account
- You should not record sessions without proper consent from all participants
6. Intellectual Property
This Service includes materials from the Daggerheart System Reference Document © Critical Role, LLC under the Darrington Press Community Gaming License (DPCGL). Daggerheart and all related marks are trademarks of Critical Role, LLC.
You retain ownership of any original content you create using the Service, including:
- Character builds and customizations
- Campaign content and narratives
- Video recordings and transcriptions
- User-generated notes and content
The Service's source code is open source and available under the terms specified in our GitHub repository.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Upload malicious software or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Record other users without their explicit consent
- Share or distribute copyrighted material without permission
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may:

- Unauthorized access to your accounts
You acknowledge that you use third-party storage services at your own risk and that we are not responsible for the actions, policies, or service quality of these providers.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HeartfeltDagger and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate your access to the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification shall survive termination.
